Welcome to the Splash ZoneIn a society where the internet becomes more centralized and less aesthetically pleasing by the day, I've decided to take back control through the blogging site of my dreams. So in that case, hello world! I'm Dove, a twenty year old aspiring graphic designer with a love for animation & the old web. A lot of my free time consists of me doing low-level internet sleuthing and I hope to share my discoveries with you! Music is also a big part of my creative process and I even used to play violin. Right now though, I'd say my favorite genres are citypop and rock music.
Personal values drive a lot of my artwork and in general I'm a person with a lot to say. I consider myself left-leaning with a focus on anti-censorship. Art has the ability to touch many in the toughest of situations. To control access is to prevent people from being empowered and learning about perspectives all over the globe. I think all art has something to tell us, even if the work itself isn't good on an 'objective' level.
This blog is a bit of everything. I'll be posting art reviews, media analysis, progress on my artwork, or just thoughts about the state of the world. It's a bit of a diary, but it's one I want all of you to see. So I hope you all enjoy reading what I put out--♪
